What a World (We Live In) is the opening theme of the feature film musical, and it introduces the core contrast that drives the story. The video shows two worlds colliding: some people fully present—holding hands, skateboarding, eating ice cream—while others move like “screeners,” detached and buried in their phones.

As one lone zombie wanders among them, he almost appears more human than the humans themselves, shaking his head at their oblivion. This playful yet poignant opening captures the duality of our times: the risk of losing touch with life’s simple joys while we are still alive. And while it stands powerfully on its own as a music video, it also signals the heart of the full story yet to come.

As the movie unfolds, that single theme blossoms into the film’s greater journey—zombies striving with all their might to reclaim the preciousness of being human. They learn to eat and enjoy vegetables, to sing, to dance, to laugh, and to embrace joy again, including their own newly found emotions. Their recovery is not just comedic, it’s moving: a reminder that the things we often take for granted are worth fighting for. Beginning with What a World (We Live In), the audience gets both a fun stand-alone musical statement and a preview of the full feature’s message—where zombies paradoxically become the teachers, reminding us how to reconnect with life, with each other, and with the world we live in.

Belton Mouras, Jr., born in Northern California, was immersed in a vibrant world of creativity from an early age. Surrounded by the melodies of a musically gifted family, passionate animal lovers, and the rich storytelling traditions of Cajun culture, he embarked on a journey that would blend these influences into his life's work. Starting early in his life with classical piano at five years old, Belton's musical path evolved, taking a turn towards jazz in his late twenties, where he found a wonderful new channel of expression for his musical creations.
