Destiny Malibu’s brand new single “Say My Name” release date September 29, 2023, features Destiny in the role of a high school cheerleader who, despite seemingly having it all – the popularity, the looks, the success – secretly battles with depression, drugs, and alcohol.
We witness Destiny’s character grapple with the void in her heart, despite her seemingly perfect external world. Viewers are encouraged to reflect on their own lives and what they are truly searching for. While many believe that popularity, looks, money, and power can mend a broken heart, Destiny underscores that true peace and happiness is an inside job. Destiny wrote this song about her own personal mental health struggles & how holding onto hope changed & saved her life.
