"Back in 2003, Chicago Rapper Bump J and his crew The Goon Squad built a formidable following by appearing on countless mixtapes, taking over the streets of Chicago in a way not seen since the days of Larry Hoover and Jeff Forte. By late 2004, Bump J’s buzz landed him a deal with Atlantic Records for over $1 million, the biggest record deal since 50 Cent, and began working with Kanye West on his debut album, Nothing to Lose. Soon after, he signed a $1 million publishing deal with Reindorf Publishing Company after his Kanye West produced "Move Around" record was used in McDonald's commercials during the 2005 NBA Finals.
