About Us
Originally the brainchild of a long awaited idea, Off The Ave was implemented through hard-work, time and effort. Before we were members of Off The Ave, most of us were members of a few different Hip-Hop websites, but strived for our own greatness and accomplishments. So Off The Ave decided to break-away and grow its own branch in the deep-seeded passion for Hip-Hop. Cultivated through our own knowledge and understanding in Hip-Hop enthusiasm along with a sense of greater achievement, we succeeded to do so.
Established in 2006 Off The Ave and its sister sites have made many transitions in format, accessibility, navigable and comprehensive changes that have made it easier for our members to find their way around. We take pride in the fact that people take interest in our work and respect us for it. So with that given respect, we too had a higher respect for what we were trying to accomplish. Therefore, we wanted to make things as enjoyable and interesting as possible for those who came to the site. With the site up and running and with the combined effort and ideas of the staff, we set forth to make that happen.
Off The Ave offers many things to many diverse people, when different people look at the site they may see different things. We try not to cater to just one specific group of individuals. We make a solid effort to attract people from all different walks of life. So we implement a wide range and variety of different topics, forums and sub-forums, so that we can apply a little taste of something interesting to the buds of everybody who might frequent our website. From what's current in the world, what's on your mind, what your interests are in new apparel, automotives, or even your favorite television shows.
Really the sky is the limit on what you can bring to the site or find here, as we're always open to new suggestions to better the site and improve on your interests and attendance. We have a studio section prime to accommodate your ability to speak or type what's on your mind. So if you're feeling like you can take on other skilled and/or gifted artist, we have a battle section ready to be confronted. We also have a section for the graphic artist as well. If you're able to create a work of your own art, we'd be happy to compliment you on your talent. With many tutorials available at your fingers touch, even if you're not the greatest Tupac or Picaso, we can offer more than a few pointers to help keep you going.
If you decide to stick around and contribute to our community, you might even be able to earn yourself a spot on our staff. We're always looking for good, reliable people to help keep things running smoothly. You can work your way up in the ranks as we assign specialized tags to your names should you inspire the doing so. Loyalty is a much needed thing in the world today, so those loyal to The Avenue will receive a response of loyalty back after you've made a good impression. These days you just can't put a price on true friendship, or on guidance.
So should you have any problems with the site, be sure to let us know and we'd be more than happy to help you sort through out.
